Bosbeesklou / Yellow bauhinia
With their butterfly-like leaves, thin pods and remarkable yellow flowers (with purple in the middle) – they are exquisite little trees!
The flowers attracts bees (see picture below) and other insects which in turn will lure birds like Bee eaters, Flycatchers and Drongos. Grey louries also eat the flower buds.
Duikers and Kudus do eat the leaves.
