Treurboswilg / Weeping bushwillow
Very similar looking than the Large fruited bushwillow, bur with smaller seeds. The name is also derived from their weeping-like hanging branches and leaves.
Shrikes, Bee eaters, Flycatchers, Babblers and Woodland kingfishers are regular inhabitants of these trees. Birds like Weavers will often make nests in the hanging branches of these trees (see picture below).
The leaves are eaten by browsers. In the dry winter months game will pick up leaves from the ground.
